This is one of my favorite go-to party recipes!  It’s super adaptable, perfectly cheesy, tasty, and easy to throw together a bit before a party. I made this on the menu for my 25th birthday party this weekend!  In spite of turning a quarter century old, we brought in the next age of my life with exactly what we always do–some drinks and games!  And of course some yummy munchies!

On the menu included this pull apart bread, roast beef horseradish party sandwiches, and corn salsa, the last brought by my good friend K!  It was super tasty and a nice party recipe!  The roast beef horseradish party sandwiches, while a mouthful to say, definitely deserved their own post.

Stuffing Pull Apart Bread with cheese @ bestwithchocolate.com

This bread barely warrants a recipe card and is extremely customizable. Here’s the quick and dirty:

  • Get loaf of bread
  • Cut in a crosswise pattern
  • Stuff in between pattern with butter, seasonings, and cheese
  • Bake until cheese is melty and bread is warmed through

Ta-dah!  There’s your new party trick right there. This bread looks super impressive and is really that simple. Grab pre-shredded cheese at the grocery and whatever size loaf you need and you’re good to go. Just make sure to adjust baking time depending on the size of the loaf!

This time around I used garlic powder, salt, and dill, though other times I’ve used things like: garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Or just straight cheese.  Salt should be adjusted depending on whether you use salted butter/margarine, and a pro tip is to make sure your butter is soft. Even straight out of the fridge is a little hard for the likes of this recipe–you want it extremely spreadable with all the tediousness of shoving your knife in all the nooks and cranies of the bread.

I made this one probably an hour before the party and let it sit uncovered until guests had arrived, then popped it in a 400 degree oven to bake off. Top with scallions and serve warm!
