Flaky buttery crust enfolding all the deliciousness of s’mores in a yummy, gooey center!
I know it was supposed to be cookie week, and I promised you another cookie recipe! But it’s one of those weeks where everything possible that can go wrong does, so I hope you’ll forgive me for another delicious crescent roll dough recipe, and still a dessert! (Check out others like mini cake batter buns or apple pie crescents.) Don’t s’mores just remind you of summer camp and cool summer nights? Because those are the memories it invokes in me. We rarely make s’mores other than camping, but here’s a way to enjoy your s’mores in your very own home, only an oven required!
Well, and the ingredients if we’re being technical. But no hours searching for that perfect roasting stick (no? Was that just me?). Here, I’ll sum up: take crescent dough, stuff with s’mores stuff, bake. STUFF YOUR FACE. Don’t regret nothin’.
You’ll probably want to press the graham cracker crumbs or pieces into the dough a bit to make them stick and really get incorporated. You could always use Nutella or a chocolate spread in addition to or instead of the chocolate chips as well! Personally I’m a chocolate chip purist, although some of that stems from the fact that I rarely buy Nutella because I know I’ll eat the whole dang thing.
And don’t be afraid to make swapsies! Even typing this now I’m dreaming of all the variations…speculoos (cookie butter), or an extra dash of cinnamon, or peanut butter cups…kthnxbai gonna go turn these delicious ideas into recipes~
