100th post menus!

August 19, 2016Katie

Can you believe that I’ve made it to my 100th post?  I can’t.  It was almost a year ago that I started tipsychocochip, and almost 3 years ago that I really started cooking for myself and exploring cooking and baking.  It’s amazing how time flies!  I feel like I’ve finally gotten into a groove with posting: at least two recipes a week, typically Monday & Wednesday, and then a review post on Friday.  When I started I really just posted willy-nilly as I made stuff, but that was taking up a lot of my time.  I’m sure my readers don’t really stop to think about it, but between making the dish, taking and editing photos, twitter, facebook, pinterest, and instagram, typing up the recipe cards, and actually writing the posts, there’s a lot of work that goes into every one of these!  But it’s always fun to see a post go live.

So, in honor of my 100th post on tipsychocochip, I thought it might be nice to pull out a few of my favorite menus for you all to commemorate this milestone!

Impress the In-Laws Menu @ bestwithchocolate.com

Impress the In-Laws
This menu is a good mix of healthy, delicious, and impressive (with an ethnic flair!). The only thing missing from this menu is a veggie, but throw together a quick salad to prove that you’re keeping that boy or gal healthy!  And the chocolate tart can be made in advance, assuming anyone has any room left at the end of all this deliciousness.

The key to brunch?  A sweet drink!  Check out this mimosa sunrise which you can partially prep in advance, and impress everyone with the beautiful colors.  You’ll feel fancy, so make sure to keep that pinky out!

Side Dish: snickerdoodle pie;

Comfort Food Menu @ bestwithchocolate.com

Comfort Food:
When you want all the gooey, cheesy, bad-for-you deliciousness, these are the recipes to turn to!  I even threw in a healthy side so you don’t have to feel so bad, but the roasted caesar broccoli is a snap to make and has a full punch of flavor, so you won’t feel like you’re missing out.

Appetizer: garlic knot pizza dip;
Main Dish: crab mac ‘n cheese;
Side Dish: roasted caesar broccoli;
Dessert: cookies and creme cookies;

Cooking for Company Menu @ bestwithchocolate.com

Cooking for Company:
The perfect menu for having guests over!  Spend less time as host, and more time enjoying your guests company.  These recipes include a variety of flavors, but are surprisingly simple and make it easy not to get lost in the kitchen!

Appetizer: caramelized onion bacon dip;
Main Dish: bbq baby back ribs;
Side Dish: garlic monkey bread;
Dessert: key lime pie bars;
