Garlic Knot Pizza Dip @ bestwithchocolate.com

This recipe is exactly what it sounds like!  Pizza dip (though I will say, a little bit more of a white pizza), surrounded by soft and chewy garlic knots!  Definitely turn up the garlic on those garlic knots too.  Sometimes if I’m feeling extra-garlicky I will add a few pinches of garlic powder and a few pinches of onion powder to the butter mix.

My only concern about this recipe is that it’s not quite enough to share with a large party of people.  I wanted to make it for a hangout we’re doing this weekend with around 20 people, but with only 12-14 knots, it doesn’t really seem like enough to let everyone try it.  So I think I’m going to go with a different recipe (I haven’t decided which one yet, though there are some contenders: veggie dip, caramelized onion bacon dip, etc.).  This is the perfect amount for I’d say 4-6 people.  Enough that people can have 2-3 each, but not more than that because they are fairly heavy and cheesy.  And I would also suggest crackers or pita chips to scoop out the dippy-goodness, because we definitely had leftovers once the garlic knots were gobbled up.

Also note that I am wishing you good luck at a classy attempt to eat these.  They’re gooey and cheesy and wonderful, but also a bit of a mess.  You do need a spoon or something to help put some of the dip on your plate for a single-portion size, and even then, if you’re making it right, the cheese will be stringy and cling to that spoon as if it never wanted to let go.

I made this for one of our game night/D&D sessions (yeah, I’m a nerd), and it was an–albeit messy–hit!  Try it out on one of those days you’re craving to be as unhealthy as possible, and curl up in front of the TV with this plate and refuse to share.  I’m pretty sure that’s what I’ll be doing next time I make this!
